It is with regret that the Club would like to inform you that both Jim Phillips and Andy Warhurst will be stepping down from their coaching positions come the 2018 season.
Although Jim has only been involved with the Club for two years, he has brought with him a professionalism and wealth of knowledge that has stemmed down throughout the players. These traits have in turn provided the Firsts and Reserves with an attractive and well-structured brand of football. During his time at the club, Jim managed respectable 3rd (2016) and 4th (2017) place finishes with the Firsts, whilst the Reserves went one better than their second-place finish in 2016 to win the Division 2B title this season.

For the past seven years, Andy has undertaking multiple roles at the Club. Andy won the Division 2B title in 2012 and the Division 6 title in 2015. He also oversaw the Club’s promotion to Division 1 in 2013. During his time, Andy’s positive and friendly nature, combined with his loyalty and commitment to the Club, has given players a great sense of belonging. Whilst Andy is stepping down as the Thirds Coach, he has assured the committee that he is still keen to continue his playing career at the Club.
In light of this news, the committee have already commenced the search for their replacements. The Club would officially like to thank both Jim and Andy on behalf of all involved with the Club during their time, for their contributions and efforts, and we wish them all the best moving forward.
We look forward to seeing you all at the End of Season Dinner to celebrate both Jim and Andy’s involvement with the Club.
